(Cleveland) – A police officer who died while chasing a suspect on foot has been laid to rest.
A two-mile procession of police cars escorted the body of Cleveland Heights patrolman Thomas Patton II from a Mass at St. Colman Roman Catholic Church in Cleveland to Holy Cross Cemetery.
Officers came from as far away as Norwalk, and included members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The 30-year-old officer died Saturday night after collapsing during a foot chase.
The Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office lists the tentative cause of death as ``cardiac incident.''
His father, State Sen. Tom Patton of Strongsville, eulogized his son as a hero who made his father proud.
