(Chicago, IL) -- The Indians raced out to a 10-0 lead in the fifth inning and cruised to a 10-1 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Jose Ramirez opened the scoring with a three-run homer in the third inning for Cleveland. Yonder Alonso went 3-for-4 with three RBI for the Tribe.
Trevor Bauer struck out six over six innings of shutout ball to move to 4-and-3. Tyler Chatwood surrendered four runs in less than three innings to take the loss for Chicago. Mike Montgomery was lit up for six more runs in relief.
Ian Happ homered in the ninth for the Cubs.
The Indians and Cubs wrap up the two-game series Wednesday night. Adam Plutko has been brought up from Columbus and will start for the Tribe. Jon Lester starts for the Cubs. First pitch at 8:05 on 100.7 WMMS.
