Cleveland murder suspect arrested on Stock Avenue

(Cleveland) - This afternoon, the US Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Levi King, 53. King was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for homicide.

It is alleged that on April 29, 2018, King assaulted Guy Valentine, 69, at their shared residence near the 4200 Block of Clark Avenue., Cleveland. King and Valentine were in a long-term relationship and had lived together for several years. 

King supposedly called his landlord immediately following the assault and told her that “he had finally killed him," referring to Valentine. 

Their landlord went to the residence on Clark Ave. and found Valentine unconscious in a bathtub with severe facial injuries. Valentine eventually succumbed to his injuries and died at MetroHealth hospital on June 18.

Members of the US Marshals fugitive task force arrested King near the 6400 block of Stock Ave., Cleveland. 

The United States Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, Peter J. Elliott says “Our task force officers were determined to find King and worked tirelessly to bring him into custody. Thanks to the efforts of the Cleveland Division of Police and the fugitive task force, Valentine and his family will get the justice they deserve.”
