Bay Village Police Blotter: Busted With The Weeds

Bay Village - On Friday May 17, at 9:57am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Road near the Rocky River line for having fictitious license plates. When officers spoke with the female operator, a 28 year-old Sheffield Lake resident, they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. After investigating, police found drug paraphernalia in the car and discovered that the operator was also under numerous open suspensions. The operator is facing multiple charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.

On Saturday May 18 at 11:36pm, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Bradley Road and Carlton Road. When speaking with the operator, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. In addition, officers found that the female operator, a 27 year-old Cleveland resident and her male passenger, a 31 year-old Cleveland resident both had outstanding warrants. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and found drugs and a loaded handgun underneath the driver’s seat. The operator is facing numerous charges in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
