On 09/16/2019, at 2112 hrs, a resident in the 400 block of Parkside called BVPD to report a suspicious truck at a house under construction across the street.The caller indicated that the truck backed up into the yard, and a male was loading supplies from the house into his truck.BVPD officers responded and located the male.The male was a contractor who was getting ready for a job he was going to do the next day.BVPD reminds residents to please call when you see something suspicious.

On 09/17/2019, at 0013 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Cahoon near West Oakland for a traffic violation.After speaking with the 27 yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.The Bay Village resident will face charges at RRMC.

On 09/18/2019, at 0149 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Douglas near East Oviatt for a traffic violation.After speaking with the 25 yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Elyria resident was arrested for OVI.Her 28 yoa male passenger (Avon Lake resident) was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Intoxication and various drug charges.Both will face charges at RRMC.

On 09/19/2019, at 0208 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle in 26000 block of Knickerbocker for a traffic violation.After speaking with the 34 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.The Bay Village resident will face charges at RRMC.

On 09/19/2019, at 1515 hrs, Westlake PD reported a possible OVI that was northbound on Bassett entering Bay Village.A BVPD officer located the vehicle and stopped it for a traffic violation on Lake Rd. near Bradley.After speaking with the 41 yoa driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.The Sheffield Lake resident will face charges at RRMC.
