Put-in-Bay Resort Loses Liquor License 20 Days For COVID-19 Violations

(Columbus) - A resort hotel in Put-in-Bay will lose a lot of business for violation of state rules regarding COVID-19.

The Ohio Liquor Control Commission says that Put-in-Bay Resort will have to serve a 20-day suspension of its liquor license, starting on September 4. That means they'll have to keep their bars closed over Labor Day weekend.

The resort has the right to appeal the ruling.

Put-in-Bay Resort was cited by the Ohio Investigative Unit for failure to enforce social distancing rules.

Other businesses in Put-in-Bay have also been cited by the state. Their hearings have not yet been held. Possible punishments include fines, suspension of liquor permits, and revocation of liquor permits.
