Two People Injured After Drive-by Shooting in Mentor

Cleveland, OH - Two people are injured after a drive-by shooting in Mentor. Mentor Police responded to a report of gunshots at 8101 Puritan Drive, Unit D, on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 5:33 AM.

Upon arrival, Mentor Police found a 27-year-old black male and 23-year-old white female with gunshot wounds to their lower extremities. The injuries were non-life threatening and both were transported to Hillcrest Hospital by Mentor Fire Rescue. 

Both victims were inside the residence at the time, and it appears that both victims were targeted. 

Later on Friday, Mentor detectives, with the assistance of the Northern District of Ohio U.S. Marshals Service, have arrested a male suspect believed to be responsible for the shooting. No additional information is available at this time.

Mentor Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
