Although the prices of hamburgers and hot dogs are up compared to last year, the biggest food-related jump in price has gone largely unnoticed – even though it’s something nearly everyone uses, especially over holiday weekends.

The price of ketchup has risen a whopping 28 percent since Memorial Day 2022, according to Datasembly. Last year, a 32-ounce bottle cost $4.08; today, shoppers spend an average of $5.22 on the exact same bottle, Datasembly reveals. In fact, the price of ketchup has risen 14 percent in the past month alone, data indicates.

That’s not to say other condiments haven’t been affected by inflation. The cost of mustard has gone up 13 percent over the past year, while a bottle of relish has risen in price by 12 percent, the website reports.
