A Utah couple heading for a better life in Kansas ended up losing everything they owned when their moving truck was stolen in Colorado.

The theft occurred Tuesday morning in Denver, where Matthew Fuller says his father-in-law had left the couple’s pickup and trailer in a hotel parking lot near Denver International Airport. “He came outside and the truck was gone,” Fuller says. “I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.” Although Fuller and his wife had placed Apple Air Tags in their luggage, the locating devices were found discarded nearby, he says.

Among the stolen items are journals, diplomas, footprint molds taken when their son was born, a wedding dress and wedding rings, says Lindsey Fuller. “Everything,” she says. “Everything that means something to us. It’s not just replaceable furniture.”
