Randy Meisner of The Eagles is dead at the age of 77. The band announced the news on Thursday, revealing he passed away the previous night due to complications from C-O-P-D. In their announcement, they remembered Meisner as "an integral part of the Eagles and instrumental in the early success of the band." He, along with Glenn Frey, Don Henley, and Bernie Leadon, formed the group in 1971. By 1998 they'd been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with multiple Grammy Awards. Meisner was also a bassist for the band Poco before his success with the Eagles.
