The Guardians salvaged their series with the Twins following a 2-1 victory from Progressive Field. Gavin Williams earned the win after pitching five innings of one-run ball while Emmanuel Clase notched his 38th save of the season. Will Brennan provided all of Cleveland's offense after going two-for-three with two RBI. The Guardians now trail Minnesota by six games for first place in the AL Central. The team plays the Angels in Anaheim tonight.
