It's The Unofficial Start of Christmas in Cleveland

(Cleveland) - Hundreds turned out Thursday at Great Lakes Brewing Company's brewpub for the unofficial kickoff of the Christmas season, with the tapping of the first keg of Christmas Ale. The annual beer is sold only 10 weeks out of the year but is one of GLBC's best-selling flavors. The spicy beer has been a holiday favorite since 1992.

Starting Friday, cans, bottles and kegs can be purchased at Great Lakes Brewing Company's gift shop. You'll be able to buy it at stores across Ohio on Monday, October 16. It will be available in other states starting Monday, October 23.
