(Cleveland) Ashley Schut has returned to northeast Ohio after spending a month in a Utah hospital following a paragliding accident while on vacation with her husband. Touching down at Akron Fulton International Airport on Thursday. The 30-year-old Cleveland Police detective underwent surgery to relieve pressure on her spinal cord to reverse paralysis. Her husband Gabe said "Ashley very strong. She's extremely strong." Adding that it was her faith that got them both through this ordeal. Gabe says that Ashley is expected to make a full recovery and she plans on return to the force. The couple was flown home by Tampa based Jet ICU, and air ambulance company, free of charge.
