Downtown Recovery

  • Downtown Cleveland leads the state in our recovery post pandemic.
    • An updated study from the University of Toronto School of Cities and the Institute of Governmental Studies at the University of California, Berkeley reported that Cleveland is:
    • #1 in Ohio
    • #3 among U.S. cities in the Great Lakes Region
    • Ahead of peer downtowns like Kansas City, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Detroit, St. Louis, and Minneapolis
    • Ahead of larger downtowns like Philadelphia, New York, Seattle, Chicago, and Boston.
  • Downtown Cleveland has 4 new businesses this month
    • Mamilla in the Arcade
    • Hype on Euclid Ave
    • Shake and Slide in Tower City
    • Choolaah on CSU’s campus
    • This brings the total number of new businesses that have opened in Downtown Cleveland this year to 32!
  • We look forward to welcoming our 33rd business, Apple Jax Toys, a local Cleveland business featuring vintage and modern toys, on Saturday, November 18, just in time for the holiday season! Tower City

Giving Tuesday

  • Save the Date - Giving Tuesday is November 28th.
  • This year, we are raising money for our SEEDS program.
  • SEEDS provides employment to those relying on shelters, through work enhancing the urban landscape Downtown.
  • Participants learn professional landscaping skills that aid them in securing long-term employment and permanent housing. The goal is to transition individuals from the social services system altogether, all while beautifying Downtown Cleveland.
  • Our Goal: raise $20,000.00 to provide the necessary resources for this program. Help us reach this goal today by donating on our website downtowncleveland.com
