Today the US Mens Team struck 1st against the Swiss in the 1st Mens hockey game of the 2010 Winter Olympics. They went up 3-0 and allowed the Swiss to get 1 with about 5 minutes remaining in the game.  Now coming into the Olympic games the US was rated the 5th best team in the world.  Now I know alot of you don't watch hockey or follow it.  But this years team has an average age of 27 which is relatively young and the fire power of the team is all under the age of 24 with no real Olympic experience.  So I will be happy with the US recieving any medal even if it is the bronze.  While winning gold would not be as historical as the 1980 games in Lake Placid but it would definately need to be recognized as an upset.  The Candians and Russians are the heavy favorites to make the Gold medal game (both have teams that should).  But how unbelievable would it be to beat the Canadians in their own country, at their game, in their Olympics.  For me words cannot describe the feeling.  Now bring on Norway (who we play next in the prelims) and then let us smash that Canadian team on Sunday February 21st.  I hope to watch Team USA on Sunday February 28th in the gold medal game with the rest of our country. Gold Medal here we come.  Team USA all the way.

After the Browns season has finished the only question swirling in Cleveland is will he or won't he.  To me it's a no brainer and I have said it all season long.  It takes more then a year to turn things around in a franchise that was in a complete downward spiral.  I was looking for progress in the 2nd half of the season as opposed to the 1st half and we got that going 4-4.  A team that had no shot of making the playoffs sure as hell played hard for their coach and team in the 2nd half of the season.  Is this the outcome we all would've wanted NO.  But most of us did think we would only get 5/6 wins this year.  That being said, should Eric Mangini be fired after 1 year of service, to me NO but I am not getting 50 million for 5 years.  Give the man another shot next year and see what can come of this 4 game win streak and a team that seems to have made progress during this season.  That being said, this years draft is most important that the team hits on at least 3 players who can contribute immediately and another 3 who can play the game.  Get some free agents who can play to come in and see what can happen.  Is all of this going to happen probably not come Tuesday we will probably be talking about a new coach coming in and where this team goes now.  I am saying that Coach Mangini needs another year under the helm and help of a GM to right this ship.  Thank you Browns for this season and I/we look forward to next season and your winning ways.  Until Next Time...Sleep On It...PEACE
