Dimora lashes out
Embattled County Commissioner says "sometimes you have to fight fire with fire."

 Hear Dimora's entire press conference

(Cleveland)
- Jimmy Dimora has decided he's not just going to sit in the sidelines - he's getting in the game.

The Cuyahoga County Commissioner is calling for investigations into the fund raising practices of the Ohio Republican Party, and into the ongoing county corruption investigation.

Dimora claims the federal investigation of Cuyahoga County is a witch hunt aimed at him and county Democrats, while maintaining his innocence and continuing to stress that he will not resign.

In response to questions of wrongdoing, Dimora replied "I'm not an angel, but I'm no crook."

He also claims that the Department of Justice began the probe into the county as part of a conspiracy to undermine Democratic candidates, including President Barack Obama.

Dimora last week announced he would take a leave of absence as Cuyahoga County Democratic Party chairman.  As yet he has not been charged of anything.
