(Cleveland) - Cuyahoga County Republican Party Chairman Robert Frost says they have started work on a removal petition against county commissioner Jimmy Dimora. Frost contends suspicions of corruption are keeping the county from conducting vital business, and costing taxpayer dollars because contracts and votes are having to be reviewed.
Frost explains that Dimora can be ousted by a common pleas judge, if a petition is submitted with 68-thousand signatures, listing why the commissioner should go.
Frost reports he's gotten calls from scores of individuals who want to start collecting petition signatures now, but most of the support for the petition drive has come from Facebook contacts.

Frost claims some Democrats have approached him as well, expressing support for dumping Dimora, and sharing some power with Republicans.
Frost admits that unlike a recall election, the removal process is more difficult, and the number of signatures required is higher, so they plan to take their time formulating the petition.
While the petition is being drawn up and the signatures collected, Frost is asking that county commissioners increase the transparency of county government through a number of reforms.
