(Cleveland)
- Groundbreaking was held for the new RTA transit center at East 22nd and Prospect near Cleveland State University. It is being named in honor of Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

Among those on hand, Mayor Frank Jackson who said that he would not be the city's chief executive without the Congresswoman's help, and that Cleveland would have not seen so many improvements without the hard work of Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

The transit center is due to open one year from now, and is being partially financed by federal stimulus funds.

Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority CEO Joe Calabrese says its fitting that the news transit center is being named for Congresswoman Tubbs Jones because she used its regularly. Calabrese says the Congresswoman would frequently call him while she was riding the rapid to suggest improvements.

Barbara Walker, the Congresswoman's sister thanked everyone for making the groundbreaking possible on this, Stephanie Tubbs Jones's 60tyh birthday.
