Police planned to help handle the crowds at both book signings.
In ``Shooting Stars,'' co-authored with Buzz Bissinger, James tells the story of his rise from Akron, Ohio, hoops prodigy to NBA superstar.
Bissinger says “Shooting Stars” is not just about LeBron, but also his best friends. They first met on a youth basketball team of the same name when they were ten years old.
Bissinger says they were a group who faced many challenges growing up in the inner city, but tasted glory when they qualified for a national championship tournament in Memphis.
Bissinger claims James was very easy to work with, and had total input over what went into the book. He says James especially wanted to explain his disappointment over how St. Vincent–St. Mary handled the throwback jersey controversy when he was a senior.
