Hagan defends against accusations
County commissioners accused of pressuring auditor to hire friends and relatives.

Tim Hagan talks with Bill Wills about the accusations

(Cleveland)
- The tables are being turned in the federal investigation of corruption in Cuyahoga County government.

Destin Ramsey is the chief operating officer for County Auditor Frank Russo. In a statement made to FBI agents, Ramsey claims that County Commissioners Tim Hagan and Peter Lawson Jones pressured Russo to hire eights friends and relatives.

However, Hagan and Jones contend that Russo is on the attack because they've asked him resign, and deny pressuring the auditor to hire anyone.

Hagan tells Newsradio WTAM 1100's Bill Wills that he did recommend his sister for a job, but Russo was under no obligation to hire her.

Russo remains under investigation in the Cuyahoga County corruption probe, but has not been charged.
