Brewer admits to photos
Tells TV show that he took the pictures for a girlfriend.

"Inside Edition's" Les Trent talks with WTAM's Darren Toms

(East Cleveland)
– He did it for a girl.

East Cleveland Mayor Eric Brewer, in an interview with the TV show “Inside Edition”, admits it is him in a series of racy pictures that surfaced less than a week before the primary election in whiche was running for a second term.

The photos appeared to be Brewer dressed in sexy female lingerie and makeup. When he was on live with WTAM’s Mike Trivisonno, Brewer neither confirmed nor denied that the photos were of him.

But in an episode to be aired tonight, Brewer tells “Inside Edition’s” Les Trent that it is, indeed, him in the pictures.

Brewer tells Trent he put on the women’s clothes at the suggestion of a girlfriend.  In a release from the TV show, the following quotes were published:

Trent: “No offense, but you weren’t the best looking woman.”

Brewer: “To the lady I was with, I looked great. We had a good time.”

Brewer tells “Inside Edition” that he is concerned about the embarrassment the photos caused to his 23-year-old son, Chase. But still manages to joke about it.

Brewer: “He’s been relentless in teasing me. I’m dad. I’m mom. He hasn’t called me Tootsie yet!”

Brewer told WTAM that he thinks the photos were stolen from his computer and is calling for a criminal investigation. Brewer’s rival in last month’s election, Mayor-Elect Gary Norton, insists his campaign had nothing to do with it.

"Inside Edition" airs at 7:30 on WOIO.
