(Steubenville) - Raise a glass everyone! It’s time for the annual Dean Martin Festival! The festival in Dino’s hometown of Steubenville, Ohio, is a charity event that was started in 1996 by a group of volunteers.
The money raised will go to five scholarships for children who are majoring in music, art or dance… the local cancer center and to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Various parades, shows, impersonators and Dean Martin film screenings will take place throughout the weekend.
Deana Martin, daughter of Dean, will perform Thursday night at the tribute show and will include the release of her brand new CD.
A contest of how many mini-meatballs a person can eat in one minute will net the winner a $100 cash prize.
The event also includes a Dean Martin impersonation contest with a one $1,000 cash prize, as well as various shows throughout the weekend.
The festival takes place June 18th through June 21 in downtown Steubenville, Ohio.
