Scottish Culture Society of Ohio presents annual gathering in Lorain County.

(Lorain County)
- Get out your kilt, it’s time for the 32nd Annual Ohio Scottish Games.

Presented by the Scottish Culture Society of Ohio, these games will feature over 150 highland dancers, pipe bands and Scottish harpists competeting.

The most famous competition will be the caber toss involving the tossing of a large wooden pole called a caber.

Aside from competitions there will be a number of Scottish food vendors which will include haggis puffs, meat pies, shepherd’s pie, and sausage rolls.

Every day there will be an open and closing ceremony.

The ceremonies will include all of the bands performing together making up what is called a “massed band.”

Various celtic bands will play throughout the day.

The games will be held in Lorain County Fairgrounds through June 27.
