Church choirs raise their voices against violence.
Voices Against Violence Photo Gallery(Cleveland) – Six local church choirs competed in "Voices Against Violence" which was hosted by our Carmen Angelo.
The purpose of the concert was to bring residents together to fight crime and violence, while promoting Cleveland neighborhoods.

Sponsers included Cleveland councilmembers Joe Cimperman, and Joe Santiago, the Community Relations Board, Tremont West Development Corporation, and the Second District of the Cleveland Police Department. Also attending were the Mayor and Chief of Police.

The main feature of the event was a choir contest between several choirs, each of which received 20 minutes to sing. The idea first started after a homicide occurred at a church in December 2007.
The bishop and parishioners were eager to learn what they could do to help reduce violence in the community. After commander Keith Sulzer spoke with the bishop, he attended service at the church and first witnessed their choir, which later prompted this event.
