(Lakewood)
– Missile Command and Ludwyg may still playing at the Phantasy Concert Club in Lakewood Friday.

The popular music site on Detroit near West 117th was nearly damaged by fire Tuesday night. Fire Marshal Scott Gilman says they’ll be back inside Wednesday to try and determine a cause. It was too dark Tuesday to properly investigate.

The do know the fire started about 7:30 in The Attic, a thrift shop adjoined to The Phantasy. Gilman says the blaze was so intense it melted part of the parking meters out front. Firefighters had the fire under control by about 8:00.

The building also includes The Symposium Night Club and The Chamber.  Fortunately, none of them suffered much damage other than smoke.

No damage estimate was immediately available; however, the Plain Dealer reports the 22,500-square-foot two-story brick building was valued at $62,000 by the Cuyahoga County auditor.

Gilman tells Newsradio WTAM 1100 that the neighboring businesses in the building should be reopened in a day or two.
